Dr. Bela Sethi (PT), director of PTC is a practicing physiotherapy clinician with more than 40 years of experience. Her expertise includes, but is not limited to, the management of pediatric, adult and geriatric patients with orthopedic and neurological disorders.
Fundamental to the practice is her belief that therapy should facilitate the body's natural healing process using movement based therapies (exercises), manual therapy and therapeutic physical agents - such as LASER, Interferential current therapies (IFT), Ultrasound (US) She manages two successful private practices in the NCR of Delhi – one in South Delhi and the other in Gurgaon. She manages an organization with 19 staff members out of which 12 are qualified Physiotherapists, who are are members of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists. Presently she is also officiating as Principal of the Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy (University of Delhi), which conducts a 41/2 Bachelor of Physiotherapy program.
Her clientele include Heads of multi-national businesses, ambassadors, consul generals, cabinet ministers, senior government officials, members of the Indian judiciary, national and state level athletes, and senior members of the armed forces. She has served as Honorary Physiotherapist to two former Presidents of the Republic of India.
She is actively involved in the enhancement of the ethical practice and standards of education in the field of physiotherapy and influencing policy in areas related to the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities. At a personal level she continues to be involved in an effort geared towards the establishment of an All India Physiotherapy Council under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
